Can you hear shapes? Are you good at visual learning? Take this short online music test and find out your musical visual intelligence ability. This is a completely new way to measure an often overlooked aspect of intelligence: Associative Musical Visual Intelligence (AMVI).

Some people can associate across sensory domains: they “hear” hints of shapes and can “taste” the essence of colors. This neurological phenomenon is called synesthesia. However, many creative people subconsciously employ aspects of synesthesia every day when attempting to think of things in new ways. The 20 question test below will measure your ability to correlate music with shapes and symbols.

The test is designed to be hard, and even expert musicians don’t usually get more than 90% of the questions correct. No musical training is required to take the test, so give it a try.
